The CJ5 is much like the CS5 except it has a simpler construction, a one pc neck as opposed to 5, plastic pickups instead of walnut cased, aside from that there isn't much difference at all, these play and sound the same as their higher cost cousins, which is to say as well as any high end bass out there. Fantastic , flawless, a good balance of modern and organic sounds thanks to a well voiced preamp and a true passive mode.
