The culmination of an Aria pro ii rsb deluxe II PJ with and rsb medium neck.
Obviously the body was in such terrible shape that it warranted refinishing in this old-gold relic finish, needed a custom pickguard made and required the bridge to be shifted forward about an inch to accommodate the 32" scale neck.
The front pickup was shot, so I used a Burny humbucker instead, laminating it in walnut and staining it , I did the same with the rear pup, which is the original .
Control wise you have individual volume and tone , a kill switch, a series parallel switch for the rear pickup, and a three way toggle pickup selector.
The front pickup provided a beefy deep round sound, where as the rear is very creamy and barks like Jaco's bass of doom.
Balanced provides for a nasal filtered sound much like what you get on the old Greco pb750 model. This can further be adjusted by attenuating volumes, so you can dial in quite an interesting array of sounds.
The bridge is the original base plate with single slot barrel saddle replacements, which actually work really well. It acheives a very low action and the truss rod is still healthy.
It's a great bass! We hope someone will give it the home it deserves!
